Why Two Sewer Hose Connections

My new trailer (2017 Rockwood 2608WS) came with two sewer hose dump connections. One for kitchen sink and one for bath and toilet. I've owned trailers before with two gray tanks, but everything dumped from one hose connection. My question is, I'm sure Forest River has used this set up for previous year models and I'm wondering what others who have this set up think. Time at the dump station is precious and it seems this configuration will only add time to the dumping process.

It does add time. We are looking into making a mod to connect the two. At FHU campsites we hook both up to a y connection. I believe it is done because of the tank locations but am not certain.

If the tanks are on different sides of the axle you will have two different dump ports. If I remember correctly they can't get the vertical drop correct if they have to go over the axle.
