Windjammer 3008w tank heater

Can anyone tell me exactly what and when you use the tank heater? I'm not sure if it's just for freezing temperatures. I've looked all though my book and nothing mentions what it is for.

Correct. If you're camping and temps happen to drop near or below 32 degrees turn them on.

Tank Heat

I believe my manual tells me to turn them on (switch is on control panel) if you expect temps below 40 degrees. They then have a thermostat that will turn the heat on and off as needed to keep them from freezing up. You could probably leave them on if you wanted, but the manual didn't say anything about doing that. Probably better to activate the system only when you know it might be needed than to accidentally risk heating an empty tank and melting something.

Yup, same manual as mine. I stand corrected...45 degrees is the low point setting, and they do say it is better to turn them off when not needed.
