I drain everything including filters water heaters, open the low point drains and open all faucets. (make sure you use your water heater bypass valves to segregate it from the rest of the system) When I am comfortably sure that the rv is drained, I use air to finish the process. Then I use the winterizing kit to draw VR antifreeze through the water pump to all water faucets, toilets, showers inside and out, one by one until the pink stuff comes out.

Footnote: make sure the low point drains are closed before you pump any antifreeze into the water system.
