Winterizimg in Central Florida?

I am fr NJ, but planning on storing Sunseeker MH in Orlando over the winter. Wondering if it is necessary to winterize there? Looking for any local resident feedback...Thanks

i lived in Jacksonville for 4 years we never had a freeze bad enough to cause pipe damage. maybe some rv owners that currently live there will chime in.

Just drain the lines and tanks and you should be good.

I am also from NJ but left after collage in 1971 and I have lived in, CO, CA and SE Texas since 1974. The weather where I live is almost the same as Orlando, FL, hot and humid mostly with mild winters. I don't do anything to winterize my fiver and the last time that it got cold enough to cause a problem was the winters of 1989 and 1990. My RV is parked at my small ranch and if I know that the weather was going to get that cold I could just go out and do what is reqiured. Good Luck

x2 rest of comments...in Orlando when it gets cold enough to cause a freeze, it only lasts a few hours and then once the sun rises, temps will return quickly. If you open the low point drains, drain your HW heater and don't leave any water in the FW tank...I can't see you having a single problem at all!

I have lived in Titusville, outside of Orlando, the last 8 years during the winter and it does get cold. I agree with ebemis, drain hw heater and maybe blow the lines out. Heats up fast after 10am and your at the pool tanning by noon.

There is very little chance of any freeze damage in central Florida, especially if your heat is running. Worst case is a frozen water supply hose for a few hours.

It takes a day or two of near-zero weather to freeze a holding or hot water tank. The latent heat from pavement and your trailer will hold off a damaging freeze for days.

Relax and enjoy Florida.
