Winterizing Still Confused
We have a 2015 Forester 2431S class C. Questions - Do the low water drains drain the FW tank? Does the low level drains have to be closed before blowing out the lines or putting in AF? And There is a -"NOTICE Remove the waterless trap before using mechanical drain-cleaning devices. Waterless-Trap can be damaged." What does this mean and does it have any thing with winterizing?

I don't much about your unit, but FW should have separate drain valve. Open low point drains while blowing out lines, but close them before adding AF. Never seen water less drains, if they are without water I can't see them freezing. You probably only have to heed warning if drains are clogged and are going to "snake" the drain.

I'm trying to remodel my bathroom. For a little more headroom. That valve will help.

I have a small shower/tub that is a joke for anyone older than 12. We didn't realize the lack of headroom till we already took delivery n were dirty..lol

My shower has a bubble skylight. If it weren't for that I would have to duck. It's a life saver. I have to say if the weathers warm and it's allowed I have an outdoor shower set up. I use Dawn to bathe with since it breaks down so easily....

Not sure about your unit but I think low point drains will have to be close while blowing out water lines. Close all lines then open one at a time to blow lines. If low drains are open all or lots of the air will go out low point drains. Consider low point drains just another faucet.
When adding AF same thing one valve at a time. Don't forget outside shower

I dont use any AF, we just blow out lines real good, wait a few minutes and hit it with more air. Takes me about a half hour but no AF means no bad smell or taste in the spring to deal with . AF is only for my traps now.

Appreciate all of the information but I have been under the unit and haven't found the drain for the FW tank. What am I missing. The RV is a 2015 Forester class C 2431S.

Know nothing about your RV. But it should be on the end of your FW tank. Probably a valve right at the tank then a short line dumping thru the floor ?
