I am working on my in-laws Rockwood Roo at the moment. Its a 19foot, 2005 model.
The MIL was attempting to un-hook, but failed to dis-connect the light plug thus pulling the wires out of the junction block along the left frame rail. Father in law had them spliced together, but they still were not working right. So now is where I come in
The plug was badly corroded, so i replaced that. All was well, or so I thought. We had a close trip planned this weekend, so I went to pick up the trailer. Did a quick daytime light check and all was good. On the way home, it was getting dark so my auto headlights kicked on, immediately locking down the brakes. Turn off the headlights, and the brakes release.
I have gone from front to back and find no bare wires touching.
So long story short, i get the trailer home and here i sit. I have since taken all of the poorly spliced wires apart and am attempting to start over. Only problem is that now I am not getting anything. Trailer is properly grounded, but when 12+ is applied to any of the light wires, i get nothing. I am experienced in 12v systems, but this has me stumped.
Any one have any ideas? I have tried the search function here, and also searched for a light wiring diagram to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.
