I have went thru 20 12v light bulbs (1076) and now have 7 lights out in my RV. Any one else having this problem?

What is the voltage at your battery using a dc voltmeter? Is this the bulb you are using? double contact? as in the link below or bulb has only one contact?

Ok, 20 bulbs over how much time? Those bulbs "burn" hot and don't have a long lifespan (as in only 200 hours)..
.so if you tend to leave them on for long periods at a time, they won't last. Also, cheap bulbs won't have a good lifespan either.

Might be a case for LEDs.

12v lights

20 bulbs over one years time, I'm a full timer so I use the lights every night. It's a 2013 model, and I have not checked the voltage. The bulbs have 2 contacts.

Is this high usage on a particular fixture...not too many fixtures that would be using a 1076 bulb.

Does the fixture has two contacts also or single? I'm asking because same bulbs will fit in single and two contact fixtures and create issues.

I thought that the bulbs with 2 contacts on the bottom have pins on the sides that are the same and single contact bulbs have offset pins so they're not interchangeable.

Voltage won't make much of a difference, unless its extremely high.

I'm going to go out on a limb here by saying you regularly use both bulbs in the fixture and that those fixtures get hot. That heat will lower the already short expected lifespan. Then, if you travel a lot, the vibration breaks the already weakened filament.

Yes, over my island, and over my dinner table. That's the only lights that uses the 1076 bulbs. Both lights under the cabinet by the stove have stopped working and one over head light in the living area has quit working( burnt out ) also the reading lights over the recliners have stopped working, one at a time. Don't get me wrong, I am a fool about my Sandpiper, it's the nicest RV I've ever owned. Just wanted to see if any one else had the same problem.
