Just got back from the Grand Canyon and never saw more than 7.0 amps from the panels on the controller. Couldn't go on the roof and use my clamp on amp meter. Didn't stop at Renogy on the way home as we go a late start and I couldn't remove the panels off the roof. Hopefully, we will have sunny days over the weekend and I can check it thoroughly. Interesting, this morning I was down 48 amps on my battery monitor. Drove 6 hours and when I got home, it was still down 18amps. You'd think the alternator along with the solar panels would fully charge them.

Could you have a bad diode? They are cheap, easy to replace and do fail.

Removed the two panels this afternoon. Taking to Renogy tomorrow so they can take a look at the snail trails and test output. I used a temperature gun and some were 10 degrees hot than others. I believe it was those with snail trails.
It’s going to be a real big task to remount the panels as I used stickyFeet panel mounts. Aligning the 2 parts of the mount and aligning and get wrenches in there to tighten is the issue. It was difficult to separate them.
