2003 Wildwood Ac And Converter Problems

I Am New To This Site So I Hope I Don't Bore You Too Much, But I Really Need Help With This Problem. I Recently Purchased This Travel Trailer. I Am Not An Electrician But I Feel I Know The Basics. I Will Try To Keep This As Short As Possible, But If I Don't Give Enough Info Please Ask. The Problem Or Problems Are Even Though I Am Plugged In To A 30 Amp Outlet Which Is What Is Required For This Trailer, The Battery Doesn't Stay Charged To Keep The 12 Volt Items Working. So After A Few Hours These Items Go Dead. From What I Have Read I Feel Like This Could Be A Power Converter Problem, But I'm Not Sure. However, What I Don't Understand Is Even Though I Am Plugged In To An Outlet Once The Battery Goes Down The Ac Shuts Down. From What I Have Read I Thought The Ac Unit Should Be On 110v. Even If I Disconnect The Battery The Other 110 Items Work But Not The Air Conditioner. If I Charge The Battery Back Up Then The Air Conditioner Works Fine Until The Battery Runs Down Again, Then It Kicks Off. I Have Replaced The Battery. I Have Checked The Fuses. I Have Even Replaced The Main Breaker. I Also Checked The 10 Amp Breaker In The Box I Found Under The Trailer And All Seem To Be Okay. From What I Read About The Power Converter I Unhooked The Battery But Left The Trailer Plugged In And Checked Voltage At The Fuse Box Area By Touching The Postive Line And Nevative Line From The Battery And Got Zero Voltage. Do I Know What I Am Doing? Do I Have Two Problems Or More? Is This An Expensive Fix? Please Help With Any Input You Have.

Start at your power supply, make sure you have a full 30 amps at the plug.

Thanks For Responding. I Thought I Knew The Basics But I Guess I Know Even Less. So If You Can Help Me On This I Would Appreciate It. I Don't Want To Blow Up My Meter. I Think My Meter Will Check Amperage But I Have Only Used It For Checking Voltage So I'm Not Sure What Wires To Touch With What. Can You Tell Me What To Do.

Trying One More Time

I WAS TRYING TO HELP A FRIEND. TO HELP SOMEONE IN THE FUTURE, I HAD TO CONTACT THE DEALER. AS PER THE ORIGINAL LETTER THE PROBLEM WAS THE POWER CONVERTER. THE AC NEEDED THE BATTERY BECAUSE THE THERMOSTAT IS ON 12V. I PROBABLY WILL NOT POST AGAIN. IF YOU NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO I AM A SWM AGE 53. MY EMAIL IS NWFLCOWBOY@MCHSI.COM
