2013 Grey Wolf battery does not seem to be charging
Bottom line up front: Older battery died and bought new battery hoping that was the problem. After checking new battery noticed it seemed to be going down as well. Checked using voltmeter when got home and battery was down to 11.5 volts or so after about a day and half. Trailer was plugged up to shore power all weekend expected it be 13+. Fuse I don't know about or something else to check? Converter breaker inside seems to be fine. Can't remember if I tried to reset by turning off and back on.
More details:
Last week took trailer out of storage for first trip. The day before put the battery on a charger for a few hours to top it off prior to going to get trailer. Wife went and picked up the trailer and when using the power jack the jack fuse blew twice (fuse between jack and battery not anything inside). Got the trailer home and hooked up to the house power (not a 30 amp plug just a normal plug) like a do prior to every trip and proceed to get it ready to go.
Leave a couple days later for a weekend trip and the battery is pretty weak. Just barely gets the jack up. Think well that's pretty unusual because should be charging while plugged up to the house. Never had a problem before. We go ahead and leave thinking maybe battery might charge a little on way down. It's about a 75 mile drive to lake lot. get there and of course battery has not really charged. just enough juice to kinda get jack down. Get shore power plugged up and realize the battery is so dead that the 12V system barely works (lights, fridge, pump, ect.). Found out that nothing on the 12V system works if you don't have a battery in at all (was going to charge with a battery charger overnight).
Looked at the fuse panel and noticed that the radio fuse was blown so replaced it hoping that would help the batter charge overnight. Not such luck. Battery did not charge overnight so went and bought new battery next day hoping that the battery was just bad. It was about 3.5 years old. Got new battery and hey everything works great. Continue with the weekend and I check the gauge inside throughout the day and notice by nighttime it has gone down some. I had forgotten my multi-meter so didn't have another way to check battery. Get home and check it and find out it has gone down to about 11.5 volts. Not what I expected to see. So it appears that for some reason the charging system is not working. Was wondering where I should look first. Is there a fuse or something by the battery I am not seeing or something else I can do? Won't be using the trailer till memorial weekend and it's not with me right now.
Thanks for help.
