2015 wildwood LCI tongue Jack blown 2 fuses

Hey folks,

My new 2015 Wildwood 261BHXL is equipped with a LCI electric tongue Jack.

First trip no issues, now second trip it quit working mid hookup and I tracked it to a blown 30amp fuse.

Replaced worked well, then a second one blown again.

I have researched it could be due to retracting or extending too far and jamming it causing the motor to work too hard...

I have also seen it could be related to a battery cutoff switch...

How common is this? Should I keep replacing fuses or travel 2 hrs to dealer to have them tell me some bs as to why they can't fix it or can't reproduce the issue?

Any insight into how to avoid and why this happens would be great.

2 month old Jack seems pretty weak to be blowing fuses...

This is the most common issue with blowing fuses, as current will increase rapidly and blow the fuse to protect motor.

X'2 It is your protection, mark your ram so you know when to stop it. No need to go to the dealer....

Newbie here as well, believe I have the same issue. Can you tell me where to find the fuse? Seems I have every manual except this one. TIA

It located next to the battery, I had to almost stand on my head to find it. Changed it to auto resettable. At least in my unit, might be different in yours

While you're replacing the fuse check all the connections between the jack and the battery. A loose connection will cause greater current flow than normal, causing the fuse to blow.

Thanks for all the helpful posts. We discovered our fuse was not immediately Nader the cover but in a weatherproof wrap on the line leading to the battery. We just had this problem in our 2015 toy hauler.
