2017 Sonoma solar install

So the trailer came factory prepped. Behind the panel are the leads from the roof pass through, and the leads to the battery. Only thing is, i cant figure out which is which. Neither has power which I'd expect to see from the battery side. Do i need to add a fuse to the converter? If so, there isn't an open location. Do i need to connect something to the battery? Anyone done this yet? Thanks for any help!

When you buy your solar panels, one lead will be marker + POSITIVE and will be a male MC4 connector. And the other - NEGATIVE and a female MC4 connector. Once you have that, the wire ends inside will be the same. If there are no ends, you will need a ohm meter to determine which wire is which. These wires will go to the controller's input/ solar panel connections.

I installed a 30 amp breaker in the positive wire before the controller so I can disconnect the panels if I need to work on the controller.

Using a volt meter determine which wire goes to the positive on the battery and connect those wires to the controller's output.

Exactly how I want to set it up. My issue is that there seems to be no connection to the battery. There are 2 sets of wires in the prep spot, presumably one goes to the MC4 pass through, and one to the battery. I get no reading on my meter.
