2504S bathroom fan wiring

I have a 2016 2504S fan in the bathroom that I suspect is wired wrong. During the day to us the fan you turn the bathroom light switch on the turn off the light at the light switch. I took off the trim and found two sets of wires and I believe that they hooked the fan to the light switch instead of the always on wire pair. Anyone have one that works "without using the light switch?

Sounds like they got the feed to the fan on the switched side of the wall switch. It should be easy to change.

How are the wires attached to the switch?
A picture would help.

Grizzman, our 2504s is wired exactly like yours with the switch controlling both fan and light. We do the same thing - run the fan without the light by turning the light off at the ceiling.
