4000 watt Black Max Generator

I purchased a Black Max generator from Sams Club, $299.00, it comes with the wheel kit and handle at no extra cost. 4000 watts of peak power and 3500 watts of constant power. it performs well with my Microlite 19FD.
AC, Microwave,Fridge all work at the same time without tripping the 30 amp TT breaker.
My only issue is that it only ran 6 hours on 4 gallons of gas I was hoping for 8 hours of run time. we had the AC set on low, the water heater was on propane so only the AC, fridge and the converter were drawing power.

I was wondering of any one else has any ideas or suggestions to get more run time without shutting off the AC.

The run time you quote is about normal for a open frame style generator. If you had a Inverter it might use less fuel with less load, a lot depends on load. Watts and amps needed for an AC system take fuel.
