When I pointed out that to use that kind of box I would need to have a 50 amp cord somewhere (and I did not) and would need a plug into both the 30 and the 20 amp sockets; not just one in the 30 amp socket. He finally backed off. I had to explain what an autotransformer/line conditioner was as he had never actually seen one before. He HAD seen 50 amp units reserving 30 amp sites to avoid paying for a 50 amp site; then using cheater boxes to steal the extra power.

So Herk, if I were to use a 50>30amp adapter that you recommeded a week or so ago, would I get in trouble with the campground folks?

No since there is no way for you to use more than the 30 amps you are paying for.

I'm with the other folks in the thought, why don't they make all campers 50amps? I guess then we would want 100amps next.

Its amazing older mobile homes used a 50 amp service for many years. Now they are up to being just like a house. I have a 200 amp panel in mine Its just crazy how power hungry we are.

That turd in the Oval Office is trying to curb our appetite! My wife works at a coal-fired power plant. They have been told they will have to switch to gas to help save the environment from us.

Then he says we need to use electric cars instead of gas. Where does he think that electricity comes from?

Oh well, November is coming.....
