55 Amp Converter With Charger

I haven't received my camper yet. I am getting a Rockwood Mini Lite 26'. I don't know what amp is on the trailer. The specs state it has a 55 Amp Converter With Charger. Does this mean a 30 or 50? thx for the help

i'm sure your trailer is a 30amp trailer. 50amp RV's are usually big Class A MH's and big 5th wheels, because they have two a/c's.

The 55 amps refers to the 12 VDC side, which is what the converter can supply to all the 12v loads. The 30 amps, or 50 amps, refers to the 110 VAC or shore power. The converter "converts the 110 VAC to 12 VDC for the trailer to use. Not all of this power gets converted. You still have to have 110 VAC to run the AC, Microwave and any thing else that is 110 VAC powered.
