5er hitch wire

Anyone recognize what the disconnected black & redish/orange wire is? There appears to be damage after our dealer serviced our unit while fixing blemishes, etc when it was new. The blue wire and lg black cable have digs in the plastic, but those wires appear fine underneath. We had used it once more last Fall, then returned it to the dealer, so they could finish work on parts that had to be ordered & they did not fix this as requested. We are planning on camping over Easter break & are wondering what this wire is.

It would help if you put in your signature what make/year truck/trailer you have and whether it is on truck or trailer. It looks like the truck plug but the large black wire looks like the cable that feeds the trailer from the truck plug.

It is underneath the covered hitch on the 5er. Our camper is a 2013 Wildcat 312BH-OK. I'm assuming when it was being moved at the dealer that it was bumped with whatever kind of Bobcat or truck they use to move them there. It appears that the big black cable that is used to plug into the truck was pressed into the metal piece cutting into the black coating.

Just trudged out into the wintery wonderland here in the midwest just phor you my phriend.

The black and Orange wire and the blue wire go to the breakaway switch incase your camper comes unglued from your tv for some on-godly reason your camper brakes will lock up.

I'll post a pic.

Yep, I will second what turbs said, I just checked mine and it does indeed go to the emergency brake switch.

I would not without fixing.
In most states it's illegal to tow your unit with inoperable breakaway switch.

Pull the cover and temporally fix untill dealer can fix it properly.

Couple of butt connecters and a short length of wire would do.
