7 pin plug

If I am pulling a 5th wheel with a chevy and then I need to pull it around town with a dodge is the 7 pin wiring the same or do I have to change anything?

It should not matter if the wiring is done professionally. If it was done by some farmer/back yard mechanic it might make a difference.
