Question A122 Electrical Question

I have a Rockwood A122 purchased in 3/2012. When not plugged in to power does the battery power alone, power the outlets on the interior and exterior? My interior and exterior outlets are not working on battery power. Lights and exhaust fan work fine on battery power. I have checked CB and fuses. When I am plugged in outlets function just fine. Previously had trouble with GFI outlet that was replaced by dealer. Longtime camper first time RV owner. Leaving in 36 hours for cross country trip.

Only the things in your camper that run on 12 volt power like your water pump, furnace, lights, and fantastic fan but none of your plugs will work off of the battery because all of the plugs in your TT are 120 volt so none of the plugs in your rv will work unless plugged in to shore power.

Thanks for your help! I thought the power converter would run the outlets off the battery power.

no, that's what an inverter does. RVs have a converter, unless you install an inverter. and a single battery would not power an inverter very long except for a laptop or a LCD tv.

to power the outlets, shore power or a generator is required.

Okay. Thanks for the info. We love the A122 but I am not familiar with the electric systems or water system. The owners manuals are no help at all. These forums are a huge help!
