Adding a solar panel

Trying to ad a solar panel to our new v-cross. The rv dealer tells me to bring it over and they will hook it up. But at $115.00 a hour labor rate, 2 hour trip one way to get there and the gas $. Would like to try to do it my self. The dealer tells me to mount it near the fridge vent on the roof and run the wire down the fridge vent to get to the lower part of trailer and hook it up at the wires meet the fridge? Does anyone have a wiring diagram of this trailer or know where he's talking about? Do not want to mess anything up. Trying to call forest river and not having any luck?

Please do a web search on "Grid Tie Inverter" I have been experimenting with some solar panel at home by just using them to charge my batteries but last week I found a Grid Tie inverter (GTI) that states that you can connect your solar panel to the GTI and then just plug the GTI into any outlet on your house and it will input the output from the solar panel(s) into the electric circuit of your house. The GTI converts the DC output of the solar panel into true AC electricity for your house. According to the directions for the unit you do not have to do any special wiring depending on the size of the solar panels and the size of the GTI. As soon as my new GTI comes in I am planning on hooking it into my house wiring to see how much it will supplement my standard electrical usage. I do not know how this would work on a camper since we have both AC and DV devices in the camper.
