Am I missing a fuse on the main DC line?

I am at the start of a project to upgrade my batteries and converter, posted here http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...-a-159982.html.

I have traced the wire which goes from the DC distribution panel to the disconnect switch to the studs on the back of the BCC to the battery and cannot find a fuse on that circuit. Is this normal? I guess there could be a fuse near the disconnect switch, but it's located on the wall of the furnace area and it's really hard to see in there.

It looks like there is a spot on the BCC board for a fuse. Should there be a fuse there? I am trying to decide what fusing is needed for the project. Sure could use some help. Thanks.

Big Thanks to Forest River!

I received a response from FR about breakers/fuses between the battery and the AC/DC panel -

"I just found out from my plant manager, that we did not install breakers back then. If you would like to add one, you certainly could, they are standard now."

They did say that at some point they started installing a breaker in the battery box and that a newer BCC had a built in breaker.

Thank you FR!

Now.......On with the project!
