Awning lights stay on

We are on our first trip with our new 2017 Forest Glen Heritage Lite 286RL.

We turned on the outside awning lights but when we went to turn them off they stayed on.

I even disconnected the wires from the back of the switch and they still remain on.

Any ideas on what is happening and how to fix?

If you removed the Power to the lights and they still stay on you are in a "Force Field" look for UFOs also! Youroo!!

As stated above, go with the remote and if its not working try to recharge the remote. When I first used the remote it just did have enough power to put the slide out but then couldn't bring it in.

If you use the remote to turn on the lights, then you must use the remote to shut them off.

Yes thank you it was the remote. Although I have never used the remote it must have leaned up against the light button. At some point the remote went dead. I charged it, pushed the off button for outside lights and all is good . Thanks

It's the remote. If you turn on the lights with the remote and then try to turn them off with a switch, they will stay on. I also have a Heritage Glen and it did that to me. Took me awhile to figure it out.

We have had a few issues with our Heritage Glen....how about you?

* Eating table had only 1 of the 4 legs bolted to the floor so it fell over on our first trip tearing up a few things,
* the clothes hanger rack in the bedroom had only 4 screws out of 12 in place so everything pulled loose and broke a few things,
* a couple of the drapery rods fell off,
* the bedroom slideout leaked.
* I have been unable to find a fifth wheel hitch for my truck that will drop low enough to allow the trailer to ride level...it rides about 4" high in front. This is after adjusting the trailer fifth wheel to its max and spending over $1000 for a Correct Track axel system that raises the trailer a couple of inches.

All this during our first trip. How about you.

Wow!! Richardlow,

Sorry to hear that. I had a sliding window in the slideout that wouldn't close all the way plus the gasket to that window was coming out. They fixed that under warranty and I had the molding on both sides where the fiberglass meets the skirting that wasn't put on correctly and they fixed that at the same time. Also the kitchen vent on the outside was missing the lockable lid and the replaced that at the same time. This is a 2017 TT that we bought in August of 2016. We will get more travel time this year I hope this one holds up.

This is my 3rd FR TT, the first one was great, no problems, the 2nd one leaked through the skylight from day one until I figured out they didn't have enough bracing under it and it would crack if you walked on the roof or just driving down the road. That problem forced a recall on the skylights for certain 2012 models. I was skeptical about buying another FR product but the DW loves the layout on this one. Sooooo she won.

I must of had the same guy install the cloth rack in my Hemisphere, First trip dropped all our cloths on the floor and required me to find a Home Depot to purchase a real cloths hanging rod.
