I cracked my trailer brake/turn light while washing .
I am going to go ahead and replace with LED fixtures.
While looking on line I see I could get a fixture with back-up light as well. I know there is no back up wire run to the back of my trailer but there is one in the seven pin electrical connector come from my truck. I know I would have to fish a wire up through the wall.
Any reason not to do this?
I always worry when first starting to back up in a parking lot or where ever that the drivers behind me don’t know I’m coming at them. I know they get it when my trailer is moving towards them but back-up lights would be nice. It could also help at night backing in to a spot.
Gives me a winter project

I did what you proposed on my old TT. I put halogen flood lights on the bumper & boy did that help with night backing! I ran a wire from the 7 pin to a relay I mounted in the battery box, then to the lights. Yet to do it on my current 5er but it's on the list.
