Battery and 30Amp Fuse

Somebody told me that all I had to do was pull the 30Amp fuse that is located a couple of feet from the battery and that would disconnect all power to the trailer. I did that and the next time I opened up the trailer, the battery was dead. Is this not the correct way to do a battery disconnect?

That fuse was most likely to a slide.

The "battery fuse" is an automatic reset fuse that looks like this and has to be disassembled (battery wire removed) to disconnect the battery.

Only way to disable all power to camper is remove battery cable or install a battery disconnect switch.
