Battery Box?

I just bought two US2200 XC, 6V, 232Ah, golf cart batteries. That I want to install in one of the "basement" storage bays of my new 5er.

The dimensions of these batteries are 10-1/4"L x 7-1/8"W x 11-1/2"H. So far, I am unable to locate a battery box that will fit them. Is a vented box really required in what is essentially an outside compartment? If so, where do you find them?

Joel

I did similar with Interstate 6v golf cart batteries and built a box from 7/16" plywood, worked like a champ and I used the existing vent hose, yeah- I'd use one. My complaint is they were wet cell batteries, pain in the butt to fill.

Thanks Jeff

I did finally find a box that is made for these tall batteries. For anybody else looking for them, it is the NOCO Group 6V box. See http://www.amazon.com/NOCO-Group-Sna...d=T168APDSGUXT

I'm still not really convinced that I need to vent the batteries in an outside compartment, but I guess that it can't hurt.
