Battery Cables

I just upgraded from the single 12 volt to (2) 6 volt Trojan batteries on my 2013 Columbus fifth wheel. The battery cables are 6 awg cut to length with the plastic blue lugs. I want to upgrade the cables with the heat shrink wrapped lugs. Would it be better to use 4 awg instead of the 6 awg? I guess I would feel better with larger cables from the battery to the camper. I used a 2 awg cable to connect the 2 Trojans.

If your going to go through the work of running new cable, run 2 AWG. I'm looking to do the same thing soon.

I upgraded my WFCO charger to the power max boondocker and it charges much better on the generator.
