Battery Charging

For those of you with stand-alone generators, which is best method to charge the house battery, A) use the generator's DC output, or B) use a dedicated battery charger plugged into the generator. Either way the generator has to run, just wondering which method was the quickest and most economical.

Send a message via Yahoo to bob caldwell
I'd use a dedicated one as you can control the amount rate.

connect the shore cord to the generator.
no need for a separate battery charger to haul around.

(B) Dedicated battery charger, as small portable generators do not put out very high DC amps.
