Question Battery Disconnect

Can someone explain this one to me? This is our first RV that has had one. Right now the Earth Station is plugged into 50 amp at home. Will be pluggin in full time until the end of the season well except while traveling Damn cord isn't quite that long. Will be plugged in off and on through the winter!.

Thank you in advance for your explanations...........

Battery disconnect is for those of us who don't have the ability to stay plugged into shore power. The parasitic drain of the radio, lp detector etc. will drain the battery if not pluggerd into shore power. If you are on shore power, keep your batteries on, as a buffer for the converter.

Good explaination.
I leave my battery switched off between trips while in storage. I turn it on the night before leaving when I turn on the fridge.
I remember reading earlier this year about Columbus being the first RV company to use a new digital inverter set up which includes an intregal fuse panel & circuit breaker panel. It is suppose to be the latest & greatest. I haven't been able to find the article, but if I do, I'll post its link.
