Battery disconnect

Is it recommended to turn the battery disconnect to off when storing rv between camping trips? For example during one stretch the rv will be in storage for a month this summer.

I always disconnect mine when it's parked between trips.

Just in case a light is left on or whatever.. I don't want a dead battery when I go to fire up the fridge or set up before a trip.

I guess there could always be an electrical fire that I'm avoiding too.

yes, definitely!

i stored mine for 4 months, used the battery disconnect switch i installed.
when i went to pick it up to bring home, the two batteries were barely discharged.

Yes - There are electrical loads that will drain the battery when parked. If power is not available I usually remove the battery and put it on a charger at home.

I have a 2006 Georgetown with tow new coach batteries. The batteries go dead in 3-4 days. I do use the battery disconnect. I have replaced the disconnect and the solenoid. The only other part is the $250 circuit board.

Has any one else had this problem? Does anyone have any ideas?

I know nothing of the George Town, but the battery disconnect should be isolating the batteries from the coach electrical system. If your batteries are still discharging with the master switch off, you probably have a dead short to ground somewhere. If you have a volt ohm meter you should be able to find this out rather quick.
