Battery Disconnect

'99 Leprechaun 313QB Class C battery disconnect keeps disconnecting when putting any kind of load on it (12v lights, step switch). Once it disconnects it will no re-engage until I hook shoreline power up again. Coach battery has been load tested and is in excellent condition. Anyone know what solenoid/relays should I be looking at? Any online wiring diagrams for this?
TIA.

I would closely check your battery connection, make sure the terminals are tight & corrosion free. Also ck the battery ground.

Thx. I've checked the connections and everything looked fine the other day so now I'm leaning towards the battery disconnect solenoid. Picked up a compatible one today and will try replacing it tomorrow.

Problem has been solved. Wasn't the solenoid either. There's a copper blade type of connector that goes between the positive post and the solenoid. It was slightly loose and not making a very good connection.

Have similar problem. 2008 Coachmen 2130QB
Battery disconnect solenoid sometimes "latches" on and sometimes will not latch. Repeated pressing of momentary switch sometimes makes the connection latch and other it doesn't

While I check all the connections tomorrow (including any spade connectors) I am wondering where you found a replacement solenoid.
Do you have info on Amp rating, Mfg and P/N?
Supplier?

Spade connector was loose on mine.
Car Quest has a nice supply of solenoids. The one I bought and returned was the wrong one. My RV has 3 connectors. But I'm still not sure what specs or p/n it would be

Thanks for reply. I have learned that solenoids have a variety of performance specs. Amp rating is but one. Some are rated for "Continuous Duty" while most like the ones on your car starter are only rated for intermittent use (stated as % or minutes per hour).

Some "latch" or are activated when power is applied with intermittent switch. Others only make the heavy duty connection while activation power is applied.

Tireman9: I asked this question on another forum and only got one reply. Seeing that you are a tire expert I'll ask you: What's the best material for parking the motorhome tires on over the winter months in the North? Wood, Gravel, Rubber Mat, etc?

Tia.

I may have answered my question by reading your blog on winterizing. Good info!

Kudos on an excellent website/blog, Tireman9! Since my RV lot is gravel, I never even thought of, maybe, putting the tires up on something better when parking for long periods. (Like some pressure treated wood!)
