I have looked at many of the other threads regarding this subject, but I don't know what my specific unit Amp specs are on the 12V system (Battery). I have looked at quite a few battery disconnect switches available both locally and on line, but I am not sure which one to get. I am really in need of one because a freshly charged battery will be almost completely dead withing 24 hours with nothing turned on inside. I know things like the clock in the radio, and the CO/LPG alarm are always draining the battery, but this seems that I should get more than 24 hours on a charged battery. My battery is an Interstate Deep Cycle RV/Marine that came with my trailer when it was new and was first installed in March 2013.
Will the below specs be sufficient for the battery disconnect switch in my unit?
Brass Quick Disconnect Battery Terminal
- Eliminates unauthorized use of your vehicle
- Remove knob for anti-theft protection
- Use on 12 or 24V systems
- Rated at 125 amps. Continuous
- Made of Brass
- Cuts off power to the battery
Dimensions:
Vendor: Noco
The bolded 125 amp rating is what I am unsure of since I dont know how many amps my trailer uses at full capacity.
Any Advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
