I have a question. I have a 2013 Georgetown XL 378. It has a residential refrig that runs on 120 volts. When running on shore power the xantrex inverter turns itself off and switches to the shore power. When I disconnect the shore power then it turns itself on and switches to battery power.
When I have the MH stored I unplug the converter and hook it up directly to a 110 volt power source. This way it will keep the batteries charged and run the refrig.
The question is should I keep it this way or connect to shore power using my 50 to 30 to 15 amp connectors so I can connect it to a regular 110 outlet. By doing it the latter way I would be running the refrig from a 110 source directly.
Does this make since to anyone and would I be helping the converter out by not using it so much.
Please reply with any questions for clarification.
