After two years of NOT loving my batteries, they now wouldn’t even hold a good charge so I took them in again(same distributor but different location). It ends up that the batteries I bought were already 3yrs old when purchased. This was a post of my disappointment when I bought them Hydrometer questions; new 6V . I did ask the battery shop if the batteries were fresh and matched because I knew this was important but either they out right lied or were incompetent. I should have had a down load of Trojans date stamps, I do now.
New T145s are fantastic, my hydrometer readings are perfect and I am getting great use out of them.
I took pictures and had the manager make a note of the date stamps on the old batteries. My warranty was up based on date of sale, 2yrs 3months, and the manager was extremely adamant that “there was no way anyone from his company would sell me 3yr old batteries.” We argued politely for 15min, I had my log, my receipts, manual from Progressive converter/charger but all he would give me was a 30% discount. I did ask why the Trojan Date Stamp was not on the receipt or the bar code on the batteries not logged in to a data base of the sale. His answer was they just don’t do that yet. I had him do it on the new batteries receipt.
Live and Learn, just happy I now have great batteries
