I use two Sears Diehard battery charger/maintainers mod#28.71239 on both my tow vechicle and the 5er's batt. have very good luck with them.

I have several of those for all kinds of engines ---- garden tractors up to cars and trucks. They work great.

I have a couple of good used battery maintainers I removed from the sabre.
