Battery Question

We live in a very cold climate so I like to store my Forest River Flagstaff's battery indoors when not using the rig.

But after hooking up to shore power and removing the battery the furnace and other accessories stopped working.

Is this normal?

Not exactly sure what you are asking here. I'm interpreting as the battery is not in the trailer but you are hooked up to shore power; and things aren' working. I can say that our Surveyor works under those circumstances. If the battery IS in the trailer, any chance it is hooked up backwards? Also, have you checked all of your circuit breakers?

I believe it is normal. Some converters must have the battery connected in order to work. Yours might be one of these. once you unhook the battery the unit kicks out and won't power anything 12 volt.

On my V-Lite the 12 volt items work with the battery connected or disconnected. I have a battery cut out switch to protect from boil over when on shore power for long periods.
