Battery tender solar
Ran across this while looking for specs on my current charger....it appears to be a solar charger that has an integrated controller. Anyone have it and care to comment?

hmmm - only $60? I'm in the 'looking' mode also, but just perusing the ones at Menards they went from $50ish up to $600ish. It looked like the difference was how many amps (sorry if the electrical terms are incorrect - hopefully Herk see this and can help out) and how long it took to charge.
I think you might want to research that aspect a little more - don't know your needs or plans, but our thought was something to use when boondocking so that we could keep everything running(ish)

Lid one one could gauge the use of this as a simple battery minder that I could hook it up when I put the camper in storage to keep them topped up.

For me, My use would be keeping the battery charged over the summers at the storage lot.

I don't think that a 5w tender will replenish what your camper's parasitic loads will consume. Not to mention that it will only be charging if you have bright Sun.
If you have a battery disconnect switch, then you should be ok to maintain a charged battery.
You'll need a lot more than 5w to charge a battery. I can't tell you how much wattage you need as I'd need lots more info.

I was looking at the customer reviews.
1 Star:5W Solar Maintainer
Got this to keep my lawn mower maintained. I keep it outside most the year, and was surprised to read that this product is NOT intended for outdoor use. Called the company and they explained this product is designed to be used inside a vehicle. Kind of defeats the purpose of this product.

I don't realy know why you need a 3 stage controler for such a small panel. Most manufactures don't say to use a controler till your over 15 watts. I use a small panel like this, with the battery disconect on (battery disconnected from trailer), just to keep the battery up during storage. Also $60 is a lot of money for 5 watts.
