Mine didn't come off easy.... No joke wear eye/face protection, way too easy to splash a little.

Also make sure they are not sealed. If so, prying a "cover" off will destroy the batt integrity.

Thanks to all for input on this. The tops were hard to get off because of placement of cables and straps but thanks to one of those paint can openers with a hook on the bottom I was able to get the right leverage to pry them up. YEEHAW and the batteries were topped off.

And my batteries are dead now..... Won't hold a charge.
