Battery wiring question.

Just bought a 2009 Rockwood 1640 pop-up. When I opened the battery box, the thin red wire was not attached to anything. Can someone tell me where this should be connected? Thank you. Do the rest of these connection look correct? I ask because I can't get my furnace to start, but that could be a whole different situation.

I would contact the previous owner & ask him what it goes to & why it is disconnected. Or you could just try to trace it out & see where it goes.
Because it is fused it would go to the positive side.

It is fused so it is a positive wire. Trace the wire and see where it goes. The main wire is usually for the furnace. I'm not familiar with your unit to say for sure.

Does the furnace do anything when trying to start it? Is your battery charged. What works and what doesn't work with that wire not hooked up?

See in another thread you say your furnace won't start. My guess would be that is what the loose wire goes to.

Here's a photo of my one battery.
There are four wires and marked.
Since you only have two red wires and one has a breaker, the one with the breaker is for a power winch (or possibly a power jack). Other red wire should to to the large splice and into the breakway switch (if you have electric brakes), and to the converter inside the trailer and the tow vehicle.
(Disregard the other red wire; that goes to my second battery, and the black wire that goes to a Trimetric meter inside the trailer.


The black ground is to the winch, the white is to the trailer frame.
