Boliy Versus Predator

I was a die-hard Boliy man until I got a new 3400/3100 Champion.

My Boliy caught fire and did $2k damage to a nearby vehicle. It was 7 years old and had at least 1500 hours on it.

Boliy Pros:
Light weight
Smaller size
Quiet-tone is less harsh then champion

Boliy Cons:
Doesn't react to loads as quick as the Champion, often bogs down
Not easy to replace air filter
Pull starter often fails
Small battery for electric starter

Champion Pros:
Reacts fast to loads and doesn't bog down. This thing just chugs
More durable exterior case
Easy to replace air filter
Easy acess to carb to service or replace jets
Oil Drain Tube is awesome idea.
Free high altitude jet from factory

Champion Cons:
Weight and Size
Poor factory quality control-my spark plug was cracked leading to no start condition
Exhaust tone is louder and more noticeable than Boliy
Hasn't blown up yet.

I've been well pleased with mine and having the extra add on tank gives me a long run time. I'm on my 2nd one as I up graded several years ago. Later RJD
