To sanitize the fresh water system use 1/2 cup unscented bleach per 30 gals of water: Drain water heater then put anode rod/plug back in. Fill fresh water tank with water 1/2 full, pour in the bleach then fill tank to full. Let sit for 15 mins to allow bleach and water to mix.
Turn on pump then turn on hot water faucet until water comes out and has a slight bleach smell then turn off. Do the same with all the faucets individually (hot and cold). Top up water tank to full again and let it sit for 4-6 hours.
Drain fresh water tank and water heater then refill water tank and run all the faucets again as before, but a couple mins at each faucet this time.
Drain water tank and refill, you are done.

Disagree, had two interstate group 27's deep cycle and got a good 4 years out of them. Did enough boondocking too. Never allowed them below 50%. The problem here is the care and custody of the battery can vary greatly within the forum member community, so what one got over another is pretty hard to quantify. Just sayin'

Even with everything turned off, or all the fuses pulled unless you have a battery Isolation switch your converter is still running and drawing current from your batteries.
If you have a battery isolation switch, be sure to turn it OFF when you park the camper for some period of time unless it is connected to shore power. If you don't have one, have one installed.

If batteries had smaller wires, coming off posts not going to cut-off switch...converter should be off line, but not all 12 volt stuff..

Yes, the electric jack, slides, breakaway switch (to name a few) are still connected, but that has nothing to do with the converter.
Was just curious how Douglas figured the converter was still running.
