Bringing batteries inside

Hello, newby to the forum here.

I have a battery question. Because I choose to bring my pup battery inside now, due to theft, I was wondering what others are using as a trickler / charger to keep there batteries charged. My neighbor just recently had his TT battery stolen and I was thinking of purchasing a locking battery bracket but instead opted to bring it in.

I was originally going to keep it charged while in the battery box, but as I say, I now have to beware of the battery thieves. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I think bringing it in is a good idea considering the past experience in the neighborhood. If you want any ideas on a good charger...Schumacher, Black & Decker, Stanley (same co as B&D) and a few others make good three-stage chargers that will work. Also, Battery Tender if all you need or want is a great trickle charger.

If you are bringing it in anyway. Use a battery Tender with desulphator to keep your battery charged and healthy.

This is what I use from Canadian Tire. Bought 2 on sale a couple of years ago for less than $30.

Thanks everyone for your helpful tips on Battery Chargers, Maintainers. Sure helped in making my decision a somewhat easier one. I did pick up a Schumacher Battery Maintainer today, and we are good to go with keeping the battery "on stand by". Now, to keep the inquisitive " nosey cats" away from it. LOL Thanks again.
