doesnt seem to be a bad price. i looked up other battery dealers in our area and i would check with some of them as well before you bought. at least try to find the manufacturer and info if you can. it may be made by interstate or some such company, but rebranded as cabellas.

That's a good price. I bought many of them over the years for walleye fishing which requires running a large electric trolling motor that is running all the time. That 90 bucks (same price for years now) is the sale price in the pre spring after the boat shows travel through USA. Walleye and bass boats take a serious pounding out on the water. The Cabelas battey always held up for our tournement fishing team. Vibration and pounding in the waves kills cheap made batteries. This is way more abuse than your RV will go through.

Lift batteries side by side. They heavier ones have more lead = longer lasting power. The heavier ones cost more too. Go by amp hours rating for deep cycle battery not CCA cold cranking amps. You are not starting an engine.

Never tried the new AGM or the round shapped ones. They are even more expensive but some guys swear by them. Bottom line is how long do you go before you hook up to AC power and recharge the battery? Longer you go, the more battery amp hours you need.

Go to SAM'S CLUB------

I was in my local Sam's Club (full service, ie, tires & batteries) and I was surprised at the batteries they had in stock, Golf cart, all kinds of deep cycle, JELL CELL batteries.

A dry campers dream when it comes to the battery department!

Just looked at Cabelas website and they don't have squat for good ol lead acid selection anymore. They are pushing the expensive AGM stuff now.

PLEASE remember that you do not want a battery with lots of CCA . CCA is the ability to provide lots of amps in a few MINUTES. If you want your camper's battery to last minutes and not hours get a battery with a lot of cranking amps.

You want a battery rated in lots of Amp Hours, or if you can't find one, lots of Reserve Capacity (rated in minutes).
