For solar I agree 8 is plenty but I was thinking that inverters. In my old rig I wired 2000 watt pure sine wave with 2 ga as the 4 ga got too warm to touch when the mircowave was running. One big or multiple small ones will start to task that 8 ga and sooner or later. Depending upon lay out WHICH I KNOW IS TOUGHER with my new toy hauler than for some lay outs, I for instance want at least 4 ga going to a 1000 watt inverter and more depending on intended load and run length.

In fact I just calculated the load created by my two small inverters ( a 200 watt and a 400 watt) and was wondering why nothing had melted when I ran both of those, knowing that they should have heavier wire.

Thankfully I had not tasked them to their full load or the resulting 48 amps would have been a problem. So far only popped one fuse with the temp set up. Hey a guy has to have his Direct TV.

If you start from the beginning, it would be much easier. What to rip out and replace now and what to rip out and replace later. With 112 amp hours of usable power, all of this is a mute point. Yes I wish FR had used larger cable in my rig as well and even used the chassis more for returns. But...well...they didn't. I have a 1000 watt inverter hung out with my converter on #4 (22 foot run.) First thing I will do is up that to larger wire and help out my generator charging as well as support the inverter better, but I never load that inverter more than maybe 500 watts, so I am ok.

The problem FR and others has is that most of their products get plugged into a pedestal for virtually their entire life and none of this really matters.

Ok, just went on to Amazon to do some shopping for wire and looks like the 6g wire is just about the same price as 8g wire. So may just go this route. I don't have plans at this point to put in Inverter, so should be good for now. It sounds like if I do though, I may have to to do some major rewiring anyways, so would upgrade all wire at that time.

Would the following wire be fine then for the negative lines I will use from the battery to the shunt, then from the shunt to the chase?

Thank you everyone for all your help.

I bought the larger shunt, and with my SC2030, I have to divide the watts by 10 to get the actual watts. It startled me when I saw my parasitic loads were 50 watts, and then I remembered to divide by 10.
