The fuse is good, but as soon as I unplugged from shore power, the fridge (running on dc at the time as we were getting ready to tow) went dark and I know the battery had full charge as I used a battery charger on it. When I jiggled that fuse, the fridge came back but did not stay on. So will be replacing that fuse holder and see if that solves the problem.
These are not switches; they are "current limiters" (like a fuse but can be reset.). The tiny button is on the short side of the small metal or plastic box).
Did you look behind the battery? It should be covered by a red rubber shield.

Yep the battery is outside sitting on the tongue. Looked all around it and all along the frame and under the camper. Nowhere is there anything covered in red plastic like you described. Followed the wiring until it passed through the floor into the camper where the converter is. If it is behind or near the converter, that would be the most inaccessible place to put it and would have to take the cabinet apart.

Perhaps they neglected to put the corrosion cover on (like in this photo).

The one we are talking about has the 3 wires on it; not the green fuse holder (power tongue jack fuse).

Is there a component with two terminals that have wires on it? It would be near the metal box the umbilical to the truck goes into.

Nope nothing like that at all. My umbilical looks like this on the frame.

The fuse that is in line is to disconnect the battery from the camper, the roof winch still workes when that fuse is pulled.

just reread this and got your reference to the green fuse holder. I misunderstood that in my above post about my black fuse holder.

egads, can be so confusing. but anyhoo no have nothing like your little box with the three wires on it.

I wish I could help you more

I have pretty much shot all my "online" ammo. If you can't find the open between the charging lines and your battery you will need to take it in to be troubleshot by a technician.

Thanks for trying Herk. I will let you know where this ends. I wanted to be sure I was not missing something as I would have hated to drag the camper to the dealer and have them just push a button....

Hey Herk, when you were helping me a few weeks back you had me look for the current limiter. I found it then(about 3 feet down the line from the battery) but it had no button on the side to push in. Is this an automatic resettable component or does if have to be replaced when defective? I believe mine is working properly but wanted to know for future reference.
