Ceiling Lights Not Working but Floor Do Work

Am prepping my 2014 Rockwood HW 276 for travel this weekend after not using it for almost a year. Am connected to garage 110 power but unable to have ceiling lights work while floor lights, audio, microwave and ceiling fan do work. Am a newbie and would appreciate any advice. Local dealership quite unhelpful.

I would check the condition of your battery first. Unplug the 120v so that you are not reading the output of the converter and see what the battery monitor has to say about the condition of the charge of your battery. A large ceiling fan and microwave work directly off of the AC and not the DC from the battery. The ceiling lights and most of the lights in your camper work off of the DC. If the battery is OK I would begin checking the DC fuses.

Is the master light switch turned on? It should be a switch probably by the entrance door...

Thanks for the battery condition suggestion. I do not see that my HW has a battery monitor, however, am trickle charging the battery overnight. If it does not take a charge then will replace. However, it is an two year old Interstate that I thought would have had greater life. In the future I will want to turn off circuit breakers when the unit is stored and also try to check for a possible power drain.

I am aware of the master on-off switch at the entry door. If battery is not an issue then testing this switch and possibly replacing is the next step.

Question: Why would my floor lights turn on but not the ceiling lights? Is one set AC and the other DC?

The OP has a popup.
Should be a plunger switch that is activated when you flip up the sink section.

Because the ceiling lights lay on the canvas when the camper is in the down position.

Check to see if your plug at the roof line above one of your roof uprights is plugged in

Some of my lights turn on from different locations. I got my lights on and found other switchs would turn them off.

the plunger switch resembles a standard switch on some models...make sure you replace with a momentary switch..

when you store the unit for winter do you disconnect the battery?
That is the only way to stop any kind of power drain. Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals. Co2 and LP gas alarms still draw power unless you disconnect the wires from the battery. Most battery disconnect switches do not kill the power to these detectors.
