That should work for you. You won't have a shunt unless you have a power measurement system like a Victron or a Trimetric,otherwise you don't need one. Get the unit with a controller (also called a charge converter, etc) that makes sure that the panels cannot overcharge your battery. With the 60 watt panel that is probably not going to happen but I would go ahead and get the controller anyway. The fuse on one side is fine. Alligator clips will hook directly on the battery. The the solar connector, if you have one, is merely for convenience.

You should be fine.
