I burned a battery tender just about like that one only a little smaller trying to charge 2 12 volt in parallel it's just too much load for them

I may be wrong but the tender is just that a tender. Not a charger. I believe ur batteries have to be charged for the tender to maintain charge.

I've used one for four years on my home generator and it's still maintaining, goes red for 2 minutes when fires up then goes green. Cheaper than $400 trickle charger from manufacturer.

Confused

Why not use your built-in converter?

Most new trailers have a three or four-stage smart converter that will take good care of charging and maintaining a battery.

Yeah, it might have been a fluke but I think the little tender was just running at it's max with 2 group 27 batteries in parallel. I probably should have unplugged it in hindsight as it was very hot.
