Check your battery box....

Something that isn't covered by PDI usually, or maybe you had your battery replaced by your dealer during de-winterization. Mine is a new TT, and was discovered as I was doing my own detailed inspection, and setting up the trailer as I wanted it. This is a real potential for a big problem. The service department where I bought my TT was notified. Hopefully it won't happen to someone else.

I have seen this before - seems to be very common - if they would have just loosened the nut and moved the wire just a little it wouldnt be an issue

Yeah but they saved 10 cents of #8 AWG wire!

was looking thru my pictures and this is how I ran my wires across the battery
Havent had any issues - been like this way for a while too - I opened it up today to replace the single battery switch and made it a dual battery switch and re-ran one of the positive wires.
I also ran 6 Gauge wire even though the camper is wired with 8 gauge

Yes, but there was enough wire to route it properly. I turned the battery around and took the wires out of the front of the box. Without a fuse, and against the post like it was, possibly, over time, there could be an intermittant problem, or worse a direct short.
