I just noticed a blowing sound cycling on and off under the bed in our Sunseeker. I lifted the mattress and noticed it's the cooling fan on the converter. I've never noticed the sound before, and now it's become quite annoying.
Anyone else experienced this? I assume it is working properly, but it only turns off for literally 1 second and sounds more like it is revving.

Are you using a lot of ac when it is running?

AC is not on. It seems to have stopped now, but was continually revving

BY AC I think he meant power...not a/c.... That fan usually revs as you draw more power.

Oh, you may be right. I am plugged in to shore power. It was only revving the first few hours that I was plugged in. I initially thought it was the vehicle parked next to me. It sounded like the cooling fan on their engine cycling on and off.

WFD is correct. As you use more power, heat is the byproduct of the dc to ac conversion. The fan comes on to keep it cool and extend capacity. Noiseless would need a large, efficient heat sink

It was probably charging the house battery when first plugged in.
