Converter location

We have a 2006 Cedar Creek 29LRLBS and think the converter went out and we need to check that and the fuse for the converter. Does anyone know where these would be located on this model?

Welcome to the FRF.
Not specifically. If you have a screw on panel that accesses the space under the steps that is where I would look assuming its not far from your power distribution panel and you already checked your panel to see if it is in it. You can also follow the battery cable.
Back around the turn of the century it was not uncommon to find one or two deck mounted converters.

So what makes you think the converter went out?

We found the converter and when we check the fuse they appear to be good but when it’s pushed it you can hear the converter fan kick in but then it goes off when pushed all the way in. The reason we think the converter went out is because The power was all working earlier today and then when we went in it tonight everything was off and when we turn a light on they are real dim. We are hooked up to a 50 amp service and the box is not tripped on that. We did plug something into an outlet and it worked as well. The AC won’t work and the fridge is off.

OK, you found the converter. Fuse or fuses? What are you pushing in? You plugged something in and it worked. Assuming it was a 120v something, that means you have shore power. Then you say the AC will not work so must assume you mean A/C as in Air Conditioner. Also Fridge does not work. Both the A/C and Fridge require 12v to work electrically. So that means you have no 12v power. Soooooo, suggest you get a charger on your batteries ASAP so you don’t kill them.

Where did you find the converter? What kind? Do you have a multi-meter? Can you post photos?
